the triangle shirtwaist factory fire was one the biggest industrial disasters. it caused 146 deaths of garment workers by fire. the oldest victim was Providenza Panno at age 43, and the youngest were 14 year olds Kate Leone and Sara Rosaria Maltese. The fire led to rules requiring improved factory safety standards.
